The Topology tool provides a graphical representation of the interconnection between LPAR and VIOS virtual ports, server FC ports and SAN switch FC ports.

You can find Topology at:

• UI → Server → IBM Power System → SAN Topology
• UI → Server → IBM Power System → <server> → LPAR → Item → <LPAR name> → SAN Topology

SAN Topology provides different types of views:

• Overview: high level view of parent components
• All connections: detailed view of all ports with their WWNs
• Custom: limited veiw for selected components

Interactive map:

• Drag to move the topology map
• Scroll to zoom in/out
• Click on a parent component to highlight all connections originating from that component
• Click on a specific port to highlight the path to the destination port
• Hover over a connection to view utilization and WWN information
• The color of individual connections indicate utilization
