Scality RING monitoring

Scality RING monitoring will be supported since XorMon NG v1.10.0
It is ready for testing. Anyone willing to test it? Contact us at support@xorux.com.
XorMon NG uses the Scality Ring's Supervisor node API to collect performance and configuration data.

Storage connectivity

  • Enable network access from the XorMon NG host to the Scality RING Supervisor node on port https (443)

  • Log in to Scality Ring UI
    Go to Identity management
    Add new user
    Scality RING monitoring 1

    Assign Monitoring Manger role
    Do not enable MFA

XorMon NG storage configuration

  • Add storage into configuration from the UI:
    Use Supervisor IP address
    XorMon NG UI: Settings icon ➡ Device ➡Storage ➡ New ➡ Vendor:device ➡ Scality RING

  • Run "Test" for configured storage device, it must show "OK"

  • Wait about 1 hour, then reload the web browser, you should see it in XorMon NG UI
