If you already using our 1st generation tools XorMon Original, LPAR2RRD and STOR2RRD you might want to migrate data from them to XorMon.

Device definition

You can export LPAR2RRD and STOR2RRD devices definitions (include name, IP, user access) and import them into XorMon for fast start up.
Follow this procedure.

In general, you can run XorMon and our first-generation tools (LPAR2RRD, STOR2RRD, and XorMon Original) simultaneously for monitoring the same devices.
Then, you can collect new data in XorMon and start using it as the primary platform as soon as you have enough collected data history.

License migration

If you are already our customer and using enterprise edition of our 1st gen tools (LPAR2RRD, STOR2RRD, XorMon Original) then XorMon license is covered by your existing service support contract for the same environment size, no extra fee.
There 2 months trial period after initial XorMon installation. No any restrictions, it is switched to the free edition after expiration.
Let us know before the trial expiration for the license, we will provide it to you.

LPAR2RRD, STOR2RRD deactivation

You can deactivate the first-generation tools and keep them running for historical data purposes only without getting new data.
Just comment out all load*sh scripts in the crontab. Historical data will stay available there.
