RHV / oVirt enhacement monitoring
You can connect XorMon (v2.4.0+) to your RHV / oVirt instance even via REST API to get additional features and metrics.
XorMon Connection setup
New optional oVirt REST API settings (host, port, username, password) in the connection-setup UI.
Storage topology
- REST API client collects LUN/WWID data the DWH does not expose: storage-domain volume WWIDs and per-VM direct-LUN WWIDs, mapped to storage arrays via WWN.
- Two new topology views under oVirt: VM – Storage and Storage Domain – Storage (cross-technology, links oVirt VMs/storage domains to the underlying storage arrays).
Graphs
- Host NIC and VM NIC: receive/transmit utilization % and receive/transmit dropped packets/s.
- Active VM count: on the host page, and aggregated per host on the cluster-totals and datacenter-totals pages.
Onfiguration properties shown in the UI
- VM: high availability, stateless, template, time zone, VM pool, IP address.
- Disk: size, format, shared.
