Linux OS restart via rc.local

Add XorMon start to /etc/rc.local

This step depends on the version of the operating system.
On some systems, '/etc/rc.local' already exists and you just need to edit it; on others, you'll need to create a new one.
Use your favorite text editor (vi, nano) to edit or create '/etc/rc.local'
sudo vi /etc/rc.local
It should include at least the following:
#!/bin/bash

## XorMon Start
su - xormon -c 'cd ~/xormon-ng; ./xormon.sh start' > /dev/null 2>&1 &

exit 0
  • Make '/etc/rc.local' executable
    sudo chmod +x /etc/rc.local
  • In case you want to run XorMon on port 443 (HTTPS) then you must enable it via this docu.
