Windows Topology

The Topology tool provides a graphical representation of logical connections between tape libraries and the SAN and internal drive architecture

You can find Topology at:
  • UI → Server → Windows → <tape name> → Topology
It provides 2 topology levels:
  • Drives to Storage Volumes
  • Windows FC ports to SAN switch ports
Supported protocols:
  • Fibre Channel
  • iSCSI
Topology provides different types of views:
  • Overview: high level view of parent components
  • All connections: detailed view of all connections
  • Custom: limited veiw for selected components
Interactive map:
  • Drag to move the topology map
  • Scroll to zoom in/out
  • Click on a parent component to highlight all connections originating from that component
  • Click on a specific VM to highlight the path
